Even back in 2018, scientists has warned of extreme weather is the new normal, thanks to Climate Change! This is according to The Daily Beast.

You heard about the heat waves, wildfires, or devastating floods across the globe…… These are no longer weather anomalies but part of the new normal thanks to global warming, scientists say.

What has happened?

“The old records belong to a world that no longer exists,” Martin Hoerling, a research meteorologist at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, told The Washington Post.

According to CNB News, it doesn’t take a climate scientist to see the changes that have occurred. In the maps below, using NOAA data, Climate Central illustrates the warmer temperatures the U.S. has experienced. When comparing the latest “normals” to what used to be normal a century ago, the difference is clear — seen in red from coast to coast.

A growing concern nowadays has been global warming. Learning to love the earth we have because it’s the only one we got. Due to COVID-19, we are more aware of the effect we have on nature and the change that is occurring due to this, and many of us are seeking change.

Love the earth is an act of self-love, which means love yourself.

10 Ways to Love Yourself and Nature

Practicing self-love is the hit things these days. Take some inspiration from this list, and take some time to love yourself and nature.

1. Take a break and go outside for 10 minutes. Take it all in. Breathe deeply, focus on something beautiful, feel your feet on the ground.

2. Use a reusable bag when you go to the store. Say no to single-use plastic!

3. Go for a hike on a local trail and turn your phone off while you’re doing it.

4. Use a reusable water bottle instead of buying bottled water.

5. Stare up at a starry night sky.

6.Donate to an environmental organization that works to protect and conserve.

7. Create a nature journal and use it to draw or write about what you see when you’re outside. Be sure to include affirmations and quotes that speak to you.

What is anthropogenic global warming (AGW) all about?

Anthropogenic global warming (AGW) is a theory which explained today’s long term increase in the average temperature of Earth’s atmosphere as an effect of human industry and agriculture.

The causes for anthropogenic global warming (AGW) are increase human activities which influence the climate and the earth’s temperature for example burning fossil fuels, cutting down forests and farming livestock. Thus, these activities add enormous amounts of greenhouse gases to those occurring in the atmosphere, increasing the greenhouse effect and global warming.

Human Right Issues

It was mentioned that anthropogenic global warming (AGW) is a human rights issue (Amnesty International, n.d.; Caney, 2010). This is because it violates the rights of future people especially the developing countries that will suffer the most.

Aside, the rapid change of climate change will impact every human life in a negative way, exposed to extreme weather, alter patterns of infectious disease, compromise food security, safe drinking water, and clean air.
